studio owner + teacher: sue

After ten years in London’s fast-paced fashion industry, I felt successful but unfulfilled. A friend introduced me to Ashtanga yoga, and within weeks I noticed a profound improvement in my physical and emotional wellbeing. This led to a dedicated two-year practice and my first Ashtanga Vinyasa teacher training in 2017, followed by additional qualifications in prenatal and postnatal yoga.

In 2018, my husband and I relocated to rural Wales near the Brecon Beacons, seeking a more peaceful way of life. I opened my own yoga studio in 2020 and continued to expand my skill set, training in Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) at the Oxford Mindfulness Centre. This mindfulness training now forms an integral part of the way I guide movement, breath, and awareness.

To deepen my understanding of the body, I completed Level 2 and Level 3 Personal Training qualifications and Dynamic Reformer Pilates teacher training with Tens Health & Fitness in 2025. With a strong interest in postural assessment and corrective exercise, I aim to help every student move safely, effectively, and with greater confidence and awareness.

By day I am an accountant working  with figures & spreadsheets; early mornings and some evenings you will find me on the mat doing my yoga.

My yoga adventures truly began in my late 30s I needed time to forget my roles as mother and accountant and just be me.

Certified through The Yoga People International, I have completed their esteemed 500-hour pathway, deepening my understanding of both the physical and spiritual dimensions of yoga.

My classes are thoughtfully crafted, offering a harmonious balance of challenge and support to help students grow in their practice.

This detailed Ashtanga practice, once learnt can be an amazing self practice. For me it is a breathing moving mediation. My favourite place to practice is early morning on the beach in Paphos, Cyprus.
